AVIATION... 00Z issuance... Majority MVFR conditions expected through the forecast period due to the lingering effects of Tropical Storm Gordon. Lowered ceilings and scattered showers with isolated thunderstorms are expected to persist into the evening then dissipate tonight. Some minor flooding issues will likely continue in some areas as runoff continues. Showers and thunderstorms will decrease in coverage tonight with the loss of heating with only isolated showers expected. Plenty of moisture will remain in place across the area on Thursday and with surface heating, expected scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms to develop during the day on Thursday. /13 SHORT TERM /Thursday night Through Saturday night/...High pressure will build over the southeastern states Thursday night keeping a moist east to southeast surface over the region. A more typical diurnally driven convective pattern will develop with isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms developing during the peak heating of the day and gradually dissipating in the evening.
