This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of eastern and
central Missouri as well as west central and southwest Illinois.

Strong to severe storms are possible this afternoon. The main
threats will be damaging winds, large hail and isolated
tornadoes.

Temperatures expected to bottom out in the mid 20s over portions
of southern Missouri tonight, so a Freezing Warning has been
issued for Reynolds, Iron and Madison counties.

At 1016 AM CDT, trained weather spotters reported a strong
thunderstorm near Brownstown, moving east at 40 mph.

Dime size hail will be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
St. Elmo, Brownstown, Avena, La Clede, St. Peter, Loogootee and St.
James.

This includes Interstate 70 in Illinois between exits 68 and 76.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
