This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central
Louisiana, south central Louisiana, southwest Louisiana, west
central Louisiana, and southeast Texas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Light showers ahead of an approaching upper level trof will move
into interior southeast Texas and portions of central Louisiana by
late tonight. No significant weather is expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Widespread and heavy rains are expected to develop late Friday and
continue into Saturday as the storm system approaches the region.
Rain amounts of 3 to 5 inches will be common with isolated higher
amounts expected. WPC has placed much of southeast Texas as well
as extreme western Louisiana within a slight risk of excessive
rains for late Friday, then expanding the slight risk for Saturday
across much of the forecast area. A Flash Flood Watch has been
issued for the entire forecast area, effective 6 pm Friday and
lasting through Saturday afternoon.

There is a very limited threat for severe weather with this
system. Veering wind fields remain impressive, including a low
level jet overspreading the area while lift remains substantial.
However instability remains very limited. Should a threat develop,
it would likely be along and south of the Interstate 10 corridor.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

No significant weather is expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Onshore winds will strengthen and seas build moving through
Friday in advance of a cold frontal passage coming Saturday.
Advisories will be required in advance of the front, and
continued after the frontal passage with a strong offshore flow
following in its wake. Widespread showers and isolated
thunderstorms can be expected to develop along and ahead of the
boundary.
