The potential is becoming more likely for thunderstorms to
produce damaging straight line winds across southwest Kansas
mainly for areas west of highway 183 after 7 pm this evening.

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...south
central...southwest and west central Kansas.

Thunderstorms will move into western Kansas tonight with the
potential for straight line winds up to 80 mph. Rainfall rates
from these storms could be in the 2+ inch per hour range which
could lead to some localized flash flooding.

SOUTHEASTERN CLARK COUNTIES UNTIL 1130 PM CDT...

At 1027 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles northwest of Lake Coldwater, moving southeast at 20 mph. Other
strong thunderstorms were developing south of Sitka and also between
Wilmore and Sun City.

Nickel size hail and wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Coldwater, Protection, Hardtner, Sitka, Sun City, Wilmore, Aetna,
Lake Coldwater and Buttermilk.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

southwest of Montezuma to 3 miles southeast of Hayne. Movement was
east at 35 mph.

Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph will be possible with these storms.

Dodge City, Cimarron, Meade, Montezuma, Minneola, Fowler, Kismet,
