The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  North central Oswego County in central New York...

* Until 630 PM EDT.

* At 332 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have 
  already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly. Watch 
  for sudden rises on the Salmon River between Pulaski and Lake 
  Ontario.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Pulaski, Selkirk Shores State Park and Port Ontario. 

Additional rainfall amounts of about an inch are possible in the 
warned area.

This includes Interstate 81 between exits 35 and 36.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 PM EDT FOR
NORTH CENTRAL OSWEGO COUNTY...

At 530 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding is 
occurring in the Pulaski area and spotters have reported up to 7 
inches of rainfall in Pulaski since 1pm this afternoon. Flash 
flooding is occurring.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Pulaski, Selkirk Shores State Park and Port Ontario. 

This includes Interstate 81 between exits 35 and 36.
