.NEAR TERM [Through Tonight]...

The squall line now lies from about to Douglas, GA to Perry, FL. The
line is well ahead of the cold front as well as the boundary that it
initially formed along. The northern edge of it, in Jacksonville's
warning area is sustaining itself on its own meso-low, but
otherwise, the southern extent of the line is dissipating as it
heads eastward. After the moderate showers and thunderstorms
associated with this squall line, light stratiform rain will follow,
then we'll have a break before showers along the cold front come
through this evening. Overnight lows will dip into the upper 40s to
low 50s for the most part, with mid to upper 50s in the southeast
Big Bend where the front won't move through until early Friday
morning.

.SHORT TERM [Friday Through Saturday Night]...

Wrap around moisture from the surface low centered over the
Apalachians and the proximity of the upper level low centered over
the TN valley will allow for clouds and isolated showers on
Friday. As the system lifts to the northeast, conditions will
clear for Saturday. High temperatures will be limited tomorrow,
with the upper 60s across the north to the low 70s across the
Florida panhandle. This is well below normal for this time of
year, but still above the record low maximum temperature (68 for
TLH on Friday). Highs will warm into the mid to upper 70s by
Saturday.

.LONG TERM [Sunday Through Thursday]...

High pressure will dominate through the long term and dry weather is
expected. The next front is expected until late in the week (after
the long term). High temperatures in the low to mid 80s on Sunday
will increase into the upper 80s to lower 90s by Wednesday as deep
layer ridging strengthens.

.AVIATION [Through 18Z Friday]...

Conditions generally improving from west to east as the main
threat for severe weather moves off. A round of SCT SHRA, with
maybe an ISOLD TSRA will again be possible this evening with the
frontal passage. Conditions will vary between MVFR and VFR,
possibly dipping to IFR near KABY or near stronger TSRA/SHRA.
Winds will be increasing out of the south with gusts 20-25kts,
transitioning to the northwest. Winds will relax overnight before
strengthening again in the morning hours.

.MARINE...

High winds and seas will continue through Friday. While there are
gale force gusts across the marine area this afternoon, winds will
decrease to generally Small Craft Advisory tonight but increase
again to Gale force gusts for Friday. Given this, have continued
the Gale Warning through Friday. Winds and seas will decrease
to below exercise caution by Sunday.

.FIRE WEATHER...

Drier air will move in for Friday behind a cold front along with
breezy conditions. However, RH values are expected to remain above
critical levels. For Saturday, RH values may dip to near 28 percent
with winds near 15 mph across portions of the Florida big bend. We
will have to see how ERC values react to today's rainfall to
determine whether red flag conditions might occur on Saturday
afternoon.

.HYDROLOGY...

A widespread one to two inches of rain fell with the area of
precipitation this morning with isolated areas of three to four.
So far the area has been able to handle these amounts. While
additional rainfall is expected this afternoon and evening,
amounts will be limited to around one to one and a half inches
or less and thus there are no widespread flood concerns. Although
some rain is possible tomorrow, amounts would be light and after
that, the forecast is dry through mid week.
