The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Tornado Watch for portions of 
  Parts of central and southern Minnesota

* Effective this Sunday night and Monday morning from 705 PM
  until 100 AM CDT.

* Primary threats include...
  A couple tornadoes possible
  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely
  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2
    inches in diameter possible

SUMMARY...Severe thunderstorm development is expected this evening
across central Minnesota, and storms will move subsequently to the
southeast through early tonight.  There will be a threat for
supercells and a couple of tornadoes and large hail with initial,
more cellular storms, while convection should grow upscale into a
larger convective system tonight.  Damaging winds will become the
main threat overnight, though embedded circulations will still be
possible.

The tornado watch area is approximately along and 50 statute miles
north and south of a line from 70 miles northwest of Redwood Falls
MN to 30 miles south southeast of Minneapolis MN. For a complete

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements
and possible warnings.

surface and aloft to 2 inches. Extreme turbulence and surface wind
