ONCE VEHICLE WAS SUBMERGED IN FLOODING ON COUNTY ROAD 2210 APPROXIMATELY 2 MILES NORTHWEST OF PIERCE CITY. ALL OCCUPANTS WERE ABLE TO GET OUT SAFELY.

  Lawrence County in southwestern Missouri...

* Until 1045 PM CDT Friday

* At 1040 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain has 
  already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly as 
  moderate to heavy rain moves into Lawrence County from the west. 

* Creeks, streams, and low water crossings will be especially
  susceptible to the dangers of flash flooding.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 PM CDT FRIDAY
FOR LAWRENCE COUNTY...

At 307 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy 
rain across the warned area. Up to three inches of rain has already 
fallen. Flash flooding is likely ongoing across small streams and 
creeks, along with the Spring River.  

Additional rainfall is possible later this evening as a disturbance 
moves into the region from Oklahoma. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
