Guilford County in central North Carolina... * Until 100 AM EDT * At 954 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated training showers and thunderstorms that were continuously redeveloping across the warned area. Up to 3 inches of rain fell Sunday night, and an additional two inches have fallen over the Greensboro area this evening. As such, poorly drained areas and small creeks are full, and flash flooding is expected to begin shortly. * Some locations that will experience flooding include... Greensboro, High Point, McLeansville, Summerfield, Gibsonville, Stokesdale, Pleasant Garden, and Jamestown. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. At 1057 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported that a number of roads are closed in Greensboro due to flooding. Both North and South Buffalo creeks are above flood stage. Showers and thunderstorms are continuously redeveloping and moving across the warned area, and will exacerbate the ongoing flooding. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen this evening, and an additional inch is possible through 100 AM tonight. Some locations that will experience flooding include...
