The National Weather Service in The San Francisco Bay Area has issued
a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern San Mateo County in northern California...

* Until 1015 PM PST

* At 700 PM PST, the stream gage on the Pescadero Creek near
  Pescadero indicated a stage of 13.6 feet and the river was
  continuing to rise. Flood stage at this location is 12 feet. While
  most heavy rainfall has ended across the Pescadero basin, or will
  end shortly, continued runoff from heavy rain earlier in the day
  may result in additional rises on the river this evening. 

* Flash flooding will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern
  San Mateo County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.
