The National Weather Service in The San Francisco Bay Area has issued
a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Santa Cruz County in northern California...

* Until 530 PM PST Tuesday

* At 1127 AM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
  heavy rain falling across the warned area. Flash flooding is
  expected to begin shortly in Soquel Creek, Corralitos Creek, and
  other local creeks and waterways.  Excessive ponding is expected
  or already occurring in lowland areas.  It is likely that College
  Lake, Drew Lake, Lake Tynan, Pinto Lake, and Kelly Lake are
  inundated and possibly overflowing.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Rio Del Mar, Aptos Creek, Interlaken, Freedom, Amesti, Aptos
  Hills-Larkin Valley, Day Valley.

Excessive rainfall over the warned area will cause mud slides near
steep terrain. The mud slide can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and
other loose materials.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.

CANCELLED...

.Water levels are receding on Soquel Creek and Corralitos Creek, and
have fallen back down below flood levels. Flooding may still be
occurring in isolated areas, especially where flood waters are slow
to drain. This may describe overflow conditions in the lower
Corralitos/Salsipuedes Creek areas near College and Pinto Lakes, but
we do not have ground truth data at this time to support this. As
such, please continue to heed any remaining road closures.
