The National Weather Service in The San Francisco Bay Area has issued
a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southeastern Marin County in northern California...
* Until 1115 AM PST
* At 708 AM PST, gage reports indicated heavy rain falling across
the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring on Fairfax
Creek and is imminent on San Anselmo/Corte Madera Creek and in
Mill Valley (Arroyo Corte Madera del Presidio.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
San Rafael, Mill Valley, San Anselmo, Larkspur, Corte Madera,
Tiburon, Fairfax, Kentfield, Tamalpais-Homestead Valley, Ross,
Woodacre and Santa Venetia.
Excessive rainfall over the warned area will cause mud slides near
steep terrain. The mud slide can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and
other loose materials.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

on Corte Madera Creek.
