Southeastern Marion County in south central Mississippi...
Southwestern Lamar County in southeastern Mississippi...
* Until 230 PM CDT
* At 1127 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. 2 to 4 inches of rain have
already fallen across portions of the warned area, and water has
begun ponding on some area roads. Flash flooding is expected to
begin shortly.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Columbia, Sandy Hook, Pinebur, Pickwick and Baxterville.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the
warned area.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.

SOUTHEASTERN MARION COUNTY...
At 107 PM CDT, emergency management reported flash flooding had
caused road closures at several locations around the county,
including portions of Highway 43. 2 to 4 inches of rain have fallen.
Flash flooding is already occurring.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Columbia, Sandy Hook, Pinebur and Pickwick.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
