...A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following rivers in 
central and southern Indiana...

  Wabash River...White River...Wildcat Creek...


.Flooding warnings continued for the Wabash and White Rivers in
central and southern Indiana.  This is the first flood event for the
Wabash River since July.  High water along the White River was or
will be slightly higher than levels seen earlier in November.

Flooding is a result of 2 to nearly 4 inches of rain dumped by severe
storms on Saturday in central and northern Indiana along and north of
I-70.

As of early Monday afternoon...the White River was at or near crest
in the Indianapolis area.  The flood crest in the Spencer ...
Bloomfield and Edwardsport areas will arrive by Friday.  On the
Wabash River...the flood crest passed Lafayette early Monday
morning. The river will crest north of I-70 by Saturday and south of
I-70 by Tuesday...November 28.

Little or no rain is expected this week.  Dry weather will allow
creeks and rivers to recede rather quickly.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go 
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and 
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river 
conditions.

* At 11:16 AM Monday the stage was 18.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* At 18.0 feet...Extensive flooding covers many acres of agricultural 
  land. State Road 225 closed by high water. Granville Bridge Public 
  Access Site flooded. Tippecanoe CR 950 W south of CR 75 S floods in
  several places from the Wabash Bottoms, Janssen Tract to Warren CR 
  350 N in the Black Rock Preserve Area, a distance of nearly 1.5 
  miles. High water affects Fort Ouiatenon area. All parks in the 
  West Lafayette and Lafayette areas are flooded.  High water almost 
  on North River Road.

...A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following rivers in 
Indiana...

  Wabash River...White River...

.Flooding warnings continue for the Wabash and White Rivers in
central and southern Indiana. This is the first flood event for the
Wabash River since July. High water along the White River was, or
will be, slightly higher than levels seen earlier in November.

Flooding is a result of 2 to nearly 4 inches of rain dumped by
thunderstorms on Saturday in central and northern Indiana along and
north of Interstate 70.

As of late Tuesday morning...the White River was at crest in the
Centerton area. The flood crest in the Spencer, Bloomfield, and
Edwardsport areas will arrive Wednesday night and Thursday. On the
Wabash River...the flood crest is approaching the Covington area and
is forecast to arrive in Terre Haute by Friday the 24th.

Little or no rain is expected this week.  Dry weather will allow
area creeks and rivers to recede rather quickly.


Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go 
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and 
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river 
conditions.

.SYNOPSIS...
Issued at 233 AM EST Mon Nov 20 2017

A couple of cold fronts will bring chances for rain to mainly
northern parts of central Indiana on Tuesday as well as on Friday
night. Otherwise high pressure will provide dry conditions.
Temperatures will be up and down, varying from near normal to well
below normal at times.

.NEAR TERM.../Rest of Today/

Going forecast is right on track. Only some scattered cirrus showing
up on satellite for clouds, and wind gusts to 20 mph being reported
in a few locations already. No appreciable changes made. Previous
discussion follows...

Quiet weather is expected today with mainly high clouds passing
across the area at times. At the moment believe that the high clouds
will be thin enough for mostly sunny to sunny conditions, but will
have to reevaluate again after sunrise.

The pressure gradient will tighten up once again today with high
pressure to the south and developing low pressure in southern Canada.
Thus expect some gusty winds to around 30 mph, especially north.

Enough sunshine should then be around to work with warm advection
and allow temperatures to reach the model blend's mid 40s to lower
50s.

.SHORT TERM.../Tonight through Wednesday night/

Models are close enough that the model blend initialization
was accepted for most items.

Dry conditions will continue tonight ahead of an approaching cold
front. Breezy conditions will continue north.

On Tuesday the cold front will move through the area. More models
are coming on board with some light showers in the afternoon with
the front. However, it still appears that moisture remains pretty
limited with just a narrow band of deeper moisture along the front.

Will keep the blend's low PoPs Tuesday afternoon across roughly the
north half of the area, although confidence is low to medium due to
the limited moisture. Some low PoPs will linger in the far east
early Tuesday evening as the front exits.

More gusty winds can be expected with the front as some of stronger
winds aloft mix down. At the moment it looks like gusts around 30
mph are possible.

Wednesday and Wednesday night will be dry with high pressure
returning.

The blend's temperatures look reasonable, with near normal
temperatures Tuesday followed by a return to below normal for
Wednesday behind the front.

.LONG TERM /Thursday through Sunday Night/...

High pressure will continue to keep conditions dry early in the
extended period. However, a frontal system will move through the
Great Lakes Region on Friday night/Saturday, and some of its
precipitation will reach the northern portions of central Indiana.
Precipitation is expected to be in the form of rain. After that,
high pressure will become re-established over the region again
through the end of the long term period. Meanwhile, temperatures
through the period will gradually warm through Saturday, then
quickly plummet below normal on Sunday.

.AVIATION /Discussion for the 20/15Z TAF Issuance/...

VFR conditions will prevail for the duration of the TAF period.
The only concern will be the strong southwest winds for most of
the period. Sustained speeds will range between 10 to 12 kts with
gusts up to 22 kts. Winds should be uniformly strong in the lower
levels, so shear shouldn't be a problem.

Discussion: Except for a small chances of showers over northern
sections Tuesday afternoon and evening, dry weather is expected
through Friday. Then, a low pressure system will bring chances of
rain showers to northeastern parts of the area Friday night/Saturday.
