...A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following rivers
and creek in Indiana...


  East Fork White River...Mississinewa River...Wabash River...White 
  River...Wildcat Creek...


.Heavy rainfall Saturday of up to nearly 3 inches, as estimated
by radar, fell across northern central Indiana. The heaviest
of this rainfall fell from eastern Warren County to Howard County,
and northern Fountain County to Hamilton County.

Moderate flooding is expected for a short time in the Lafayette area
as the river level comes to a crest very early Monday with a river
level 7.2 feet above crest. This will affect all parks in
Lafayette and West Lafayette, some state, county, and local roads,
river cabins, and many acres of agricultural land. Flooding of this
extent has not been seen in this area since mid-July.

Dry weather is in the forecast and will thus aid bringing an end
to the flooding. The crest along the Wabash River is expected to
reach Covington Tuesday morning, Montezuma Tuesday evening, and then
Terre Haute Wednesday night.

Flooding on the White River is expected to be much less extensive
due to not receiving as much rainfall, with crests no more than
about 2 feet above flood stage. The crest late Sunday
evening was in the vicinity of Noblesville, and should
reach Nora and Ravenswood late Monday morning, Spencer Wednesday
afternoon, and then Edwardsport Friday evening.

Flooding along central/southern Indiana area rivers may last into
early next week.  Additional flood warnings may be needed for this
event.


Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go 
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and 
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river 
conditions.

  land. State Road 225 closed by high water. Granville Bridge Public 
  Access Site flooded. Tippecanoe CR 950 W south of CR 75 S floods in
  several places from the Wabash Bottoms, Janssen Tract to Warren CR 
  350 N in the Black Rock Preserve Area, a distance of nearly 1.5 
  miles. High water affects Fort Ouiatenon area. All parks in the 
  West Lafayette and Lafayette areas are flooded.  High water almost 
  on North River Road.

...A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following rivers in 
central and southern Indiana...

.Flooding warnings continued for the Wabash and White Rivers in
central and southern Indiana.  This is the first flood event for the
Wabash River since July.  High water along the White River was or
will be slightly higher than levels seen earlier in November.

Flooding is a result of 2 to nearly 4 inches of rain dumped by severe
storms on Saturday in central and northern Indiana along and north of
I-70.

As of early Monday afternoon...the White River was at or near crest
in the Indianapolis area.  The flood crest in the Spencer ...
Bloomfield and Edwardsport areas will arrive by Friday.  On the
Wabash River...the flood crest passed Lafayette early Monday
morning. The river will crest north of I-70 by Saturday and south of
I-70 by Tuesday...November 28.

Little or no rain is expected this week.  Dry weather will allow
creeks and rivers to recede rather quickly.

...A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following rivers in 
Indiana...

  Wabash River...White River...


.Flooding warnings continue for the Wabash and White Rivers in
central and southern Indiana.  This is the first flood event for the
Wabash River since July.  High water along the White River was, or
will be, slightly higher than levels seen earlier in November.

Flooding is a result of 2 to nearly 4 inches of rain dumped by severe
storms on Saturday in central and northern Indiana along and north of
I-70.

As of late Monday evening...the White River was at or near crest
in the Indianapolis area.  The flood crest in the Spencer ...
Bloomfield and Edwardsport areas will arrive by late Thursday. 
On the Wabash River...the flood crest passed Lafayette early Monday
morning. The river will crest north of I-70 by Friday and
south of I-70 by Monday, November 27.

Little or no rain is expected this week.  Dry weather will allow
creeks and rivers to recede rather quickly.


Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go 
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and 
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river 
conditions.

...A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following rivers in 
Indiana...

.Flooding warnings continue for the Wabash and White Rivers in
central and southern Indiana. This is the first flood event for the
Wabash River since July. High water along the White River was, or
will be, slightly higher than levels seen earlier in November.

Flooding is a result of 2 to nearly 4 inches of rain dumped by
thunderstorms on Saturday in central and northern Indiana along and
north of Interstate 70.

As of late Tuesday morning...the White River was at crest in the
Centerton area. The flood crest in the Spencer, Bloomfield, and
Edwardsport areas will arrive Wednesday night and Thursday. On the
Wabash River...the flood crest is approaching the Covington area and
is forecast to arrive in Terre Haute by Friday the 24th.

Little or no rain is expected this week.  Dry weather will allow
area creeks and rivers to recede rather quickly.


Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go 
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and

...A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following rivers in 
Indiana...


  Wabash River...White River...


.Flood warnings continue for the Wabash and White Rivers in central
and southern Indiana. This is the first flood event for the
Wabash River since July. High water along the White River was, or
will be, slightly higher than levels seen earlier in November.

Flooding is a result of 2 to nearly 4 inches of rain dumped by
thunderstorms on Saturday in central and northern Indiana along and
north of Interstate 70.

As of late Tuesday evening...the crest on the White River was
slightly downstream of Centerton. The flood crest will reach 
Spencer tonight, Bloomfield Thursday, and Thursday night.  On the
Wabash River...the flood crest was slightly downstream of Covington
and is forecast to arrive in Terre Haute by Friday the 24th.

Little or no rain is expected this week.  Dry weather will allow
area creeks and rivers to recede rather quickly.


Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go 
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and 
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river 
conditions.

frontal system will bring a chance for showers to the area Friday
night and Saturday.  Temperatures will be near to below normal
through the Thanksgiving weekend.

.NEAR TERM.../Tonight/

Temperatures at 02Z were already at or slightly below prior min
temp forecast, particularly in the LAF and IND areas. While near
term models do show some weak low level warm advection as the high
approaches and winds turn more southerly, dewpoints are well into
the low 20s and winds, while not calm, remain relatively light
overnight. Thus, expect more radiational cooling and will adjust
min temps down 1-4 degrees depending on location. Previous
discussion follows.

Clearing trend and temperatures will be the main focus for tonight,

Models in good agreement that surface high pressure over eastern
Texas will move to the Tennessee Valley tonight. Model rh time
sections were showing a dry column save some high level moisture.
Satellite was showing the clearing line making progress across west
central Indiana in the wake of an upper trough. Thus, should see
clear or mostly clear skies tonight. Winds will shift to southwest
overnight as the high shifts to the Tennessee Valley. Despite this
modest warm air advection, the clear skies should allow temperatures
to drop to the mid and upper 20s for overnight lows per the
Superblend.

.SHORT TERM.../Monday through Wednesday/

The main focus for the short term will be on shower potential
Tuesday.

Models in good agreement that a cold front will drop southeast
across central Indiana Tuesday afternoon. Ribbon of 70 plus 1000-500
millibar mean level rh will be along and ahead of the front with the
deepest moisture across our northeastern counties, where Forecast
Builder places slight chance pops. With moisture marginal, will
leave the small blend pops over our far north, though would not be
surprised to see a little more coverage. Otherwise, a weak upper
waves will move across Monday and Monday night. However, models were
only showing high level moisture suggests just some passing cirrus.
Finally, surface high pressure will gradually build in from the west
Tuesday night, which should result in clearing skies.

Low level thermal progs and only high clouds support temperatures
climbing to near normal Monday and Tuesday. Colder air will move in
again behind the front Tuesday night. Blend temperatures capture
this well, so good confidence in temperatures to within a few
degrees with highs in the mid 40s to lower 50s Monday and Tuesday
but only 35 to 40 Wednesday.

Models are close enough that the model blend initialization was
accepted for most items.

The short term will remain quiet. High pressure will remain in
control through Monday. A cold front will move through on Tuesday,
but moisture is lacking. Thus do not expect any precipitation with
it.

Tuesday will be breezy with wind gusts of 20-30 mph across the area
as the cold front passes.

The model blend looks good for temperatures given expected
conditions.

.LONG TERM /Wednesday night through Sunday/...

Models and ensembles in good agreement that high pressure will
result in dry weather through Friday. Then, a frontal system and
upper wave will bring the threat for showers to all or parts of
central Indiana Friday night and Saturday. Forecast builder suggests
precipitation type Friday night and Saturday morning as rain. This
looks reasonable with surface temperatures well above freezing.

Temperatures will warm to near normal Friday and Saturday,
otherwise, below normal temperatures are expected well ahead of the
frontal system on Thursday and behind the system on Sunday per the
blend.
