...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN CABARRUS AND
SOUTHEASTERN ROWAN COUNTIES UNTIL 700 PM EDT...

At 630 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms along a
line extending from 7 miles north of Badin Lake to near Salisbury,
and moving south at 25 mph.

Locations to be impacted include...
Salisbury, Granite Quarry, Rockwell, Mt Pleasant, Faith, Gold Hill,
High Rock and High Rock Lake.

Wind gusts up to 45 mph and pea size hail will be possible in these
areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Gusty winds can blow down trees that are dead, or that have weakened
root systems. Outdoor furniture and similar items can be tossed
around if not anchored. Seek shelter indoors.

At 655 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms along a
line extending from 11 miles northwest of Badin Lake to 3 miles west
of Kannapolis, and moving south at 15 mph.

Locations to be impacted include...
Kannapolis, Downtown Concord, West Concord, Harrisburg, Mt Pleasant,
Reedy Creek Park, Charlotte Motor Speedway, UNC Charlotte, Coddle
Creek Reservoir and Enochville.

Wind gusts up to 45 mph and pea size hail will be possible in these
areas.
