North Carolina, western North Carolina and upstate South Carolina.

A cold front will continue to slowly cross the area and into the
Piedmont tonight. Scattered thunderstorms will continue this
evening. Very heavy rainfall will be possible and isolated flash
flooding may develop in areas repeatedly affected by thunderstorms.
Some thunderstorms may be strong with small hail and brief gusty
winds, especially across the North Carolina Piedmont.

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN LAURENS...
SOUTHEASTERN GREENVILLE...SOUTHERN SPARTANBURG AND NORTHWESTERN UNION
COUNTIES UNTIL 945 PM EDT...

At 856 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 13
miles northwest of Laurens, or 4 miles south of Fountain Inn, moving
northeast at 30 mph.

Locations to be impacted include...
Simpsonville, Fountain Inn, Woodruff, Roebuck, Gray Court, Croft
State Park, Moore, Cedar Springs, Buffalo and Pauline.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph and heavy rainfall rates up to 2 inches per
hour will be possible over these areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Gusty winds can blow down trees that are dead, or that have weakened
root systems. Outdoor furniture and similar items can be tossed
around if not anchored. Seek shelter indoors.
