This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northeast Georgia, piedmont
North Carolina, western North Carolina and upstate South Carolina.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will continue to develop across
the region late this afternoon through early this evening. A few of
the storms will likely produce brief severe weather in the form of
damaging wind gusts and hail as large as quarters. In addition, the
slow movement of the thunderstorms may result in locally excessive
rainfall and isolated flash flooding, especially in locations that
received heavy rain on Tuesday. Otherwise, dangerous cloud to ground
lightning will occur with any thunderstorm.
