Isolated thunderstorms are possible this afternoon mainly across southern portions of central Georgia. Overnight the isolated threat could spread farther north, though nothing strong to severe is expected. The main hazards will be occasional lightning and locally heavy rainfall. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday... There will be a chance of thunderstorms on Thursday. There is a marginal risk for brief tornados over far northwest Georgia, along and northwest of a line from Carroll to Fannin counties. Otherwise, the main hazards will be Occasional lightning and heavy rainfall. There will be a chance of thunderstorms across the area on Friday, across mainly central Georgia Saturday through Monday, and across the area on Tuesday. The main hazards will be occasional lightning and locally heavy rainfall. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.

STEWART AND SOUTHERN MUSCOGEE COUNTIES UNTIL 230 PM EDT...
At 203 PM EDT...a line of strong thunderstorms was along a line
extending from near Seale to near Suttons Corner...and moving east at
30 mph.
HAZARD...40 to 50 mph wind...frequent cloud to ground lightning
and heavy rain.
IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
light...unsecured objects. Heavy rain may cause temporary
street flooding especially in poor drainage areas.
Some locations in the path of these storms include
Lumpkin, Richland, Fort Benning/lawson Army Air Fld, Charles, Sand
Hill, Westville, Battle Park, Jamestown/south Fort Benning, Troutman,
Omaha, Sanford, Custer Road Terrace, Louvale and Providence Canyon
State Park.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear
thunder...you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Motorists
should slow down and be prepared for possible loss of control due to
hydroplaning.
