A few thunderstorms may become severe mainly this afternoon and evening. A frontal boundary will approach north Georgia today...giving increased chances for showers and thunderstorms. Afternoon heating will help to support a few strong to severe thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts and large hail. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday... A moist and unstable air mass will remain over north and central Georgia through the period. There will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms each day...a few storms possibly severe. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not requested but spotters are encouraged to submit reports of severe weather through the web by going to weather.gov/atlanta.
