...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 AM EDT FOR
SOUTHEASTERN HENRY...NORTHEASTERN BUTTS AND SOUTHWESTERN NEWTON
COUNTIES...

At 253 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
that although the heavy rain that had falling over the area was 
diminishing. However, two to four inches of rain, with local amounts 
up to 7 inches, have already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to 
continue for the next few hours.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Stewart, Fincherville, Ola, Worthville and Rocky Plains. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small 
creeks and streams, highways,roads and streets as well as other 
drainage areas and low lying spots.

BUTTS AND SOUTHWESTERN NEWTON COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 530 AM EDT...

The heavy rain has ended. Although no new flooding is expected to 
develop, many rivers, creeks and streams will continue to see high 
and swiftly flowing water through the morning and some roads will 
still have water ponding on the roadway.
