The National Weather Service in Austin San Antonio has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  East central Kerr County in south central Texas...
  Northern Blanco County in south central Texas...
  Southeastern Gillespie County in south central Texas...
  South central Burnet County in south central Texas...

* Until 915 PM CDT

* At 541 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain from Hunt to near Fredericksburg to Round Mountain. Up 
  to three inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is 
  expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Kerrville, Fredericksburg, Marble Falls, Round Mountain, Hunt,
  Horseshoe Bay, Ingram, Meadowlakes, Johnson City, Stonewall,
  Spicewood, Blowout, Tivydale, Rocky Hill, Waltonia, Rocky Creek,
  Hye, Cypress Mill, Blumenthal and Kerrville State Park.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 4 inches are possible in the 
warned area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.

EAST CENTRAL KERR...NORTHERN BLANCO...SOUTHEASTERN GILLESPIE AND
SOUTH CENTRAL BURNET COUNTIES...

At 721 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy 
rain in the Fredericksburg to Stonewall areas with light rain 
elsewhere. Up to four inches of rain have already fallen. Flash 
flooding will continue across the warned area. 

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Kerrville, Fredericksburg, Marble Falls, Round Mountain, Hunt,
Horseshoe Bay, Ingram, Meadowlakes, Johnson City, Stonewall,
Spicewood, Blowout, Tivydale, Rocky Hill, Waltonia, Rocky Creek, Hye,
Cypress Mill, Blumenthal and Kerrville State Park.
