The National Weather Service in Austin San Antonio has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
West central Kerr County in south central Texas...
North central Uvalde County in south central Texas...
South central Edwards County in south central Texas...
Real County in south central Texas...
* Until 900 PM CDT
* At 526 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain from west of Hunt to northeast of Barksdale and Camp
Wood. Up to four inches of rain have already fallen. Flash
flooding is expected to begin shortly. This will impacts the
numerous forks of the upper Guadalupe River, and upper reaches of
the Frio and Nueces Rivers. Highway 83 and numerous rural roads
will also be impacted.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Leakey, Camp Wood, Garner State Park, Tuff, Barksdale, Rio Frio,
Vance, Kerr Wildlife Management Area and Prade Ranch.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the
warned area.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.

At 629 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Up to four inches inches of rain have
fallen throughout the afternoon across the warned area. Localized
flash flooding is possibly ongoing especially north of Leaky across
central Real County.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Leakey, Camp Wood, Garner State Park, Tuff, Barksdale, Rio Frio,
Vance, Kerr Wildlife Management Area and Prade Ranch.
Additional rainfall amounts of about an inch are possible in the
warned area as light to moderate rain continues.
