* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northern Leavenworth County in northeastern Kansas...
  Atchison County in northeastern Kansas...
  Southwestern Buchanan County in northwestern Missouri...
  Platte County in west central Missouri...

* Until 315 AM CDT Tuesday

* At 906 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Hourly rainfall rates of 2 to 3 
  inches per hour are occurring with these storms. These storms may 
  produce 3 to 6 inches of rain across the warned area, especially 
  southern Atchison county in Kansas. This replaces the previous 
  flash flood warning for Atchison County Kansas.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Kansas City, Leavenworth, Lansing, Atchison, Platte City, Weatherby
  Lake, Weston, Lake Waukomis, Edgerton, Effingham, Dearborn, Camden
  Point, Ferrelview, Rushville, Lancaster, Easton, Tracy, Muscotah,
  Lewis And Clark Village and Farley.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 29 between mile markers 8 and 34.
 Interstate 435 between mile markers 24 and 39.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 AM CDT FOR
NORTHERN LEAVENWORTH...ATCHISON...SOUTHWESTERN BUCHANAN AND PLATTE
COUNTIES...

At 1110 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated that much of the heavy rain 
had ended across the warned area. Radar estimates that 6 to 8 inches 
of rain has fallen in Atchison County, KS with other areas in the 
warning seeing between 3 and 6 inches. Flash flooding is likely 
already occurring. Additionally, more heavy rain is expected to move 
into the area later tonight and may add another 1 to 3 inches of 
rain.

Kansas City, Leavenworth, Lansing, Atchison, Platte City, Weatherby
Lake, Weston, Lake Waukomis, Edgerton, Effingham, Dearborn, Camden
