Isolated to scattered strong thunderstorms will be possible across
all of Central Alabama through 10 PM. The strongest activity may
result in straight line wind damage with up to 60 mph this afternoon
and early evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

NORTHWESTERN ETOWAH COUNTIES UNTIL 330 PM CDT...

At 249 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Snead, or 11 miles east of Blountsville, moving east at 15 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Altoona, Snead, Susan Moore, Walnut Grove, Aurora, Howelton and
Mountainboro.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Martin Dam, or 8 miles north of Tallassee, moving east at 20 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm.

Tallassee, Liberty City, Martin Dam, Tallapoosa City, Reeltown and
Yates Dam.
