This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
North Dakota, northwest North Dakota, south central North Dakota,
southeast North Dakota, and southwest North Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Scattered thunderstorms across northwest North Dakota late this
evening will spread across central North Dakota through the night,
especially across the north central through the James River
Valley. A few storms may be strong to severe with large hail to
quarter size, damaging winds to 60 mph and dangerous lightning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

There is a chance of thunderstorms Sunday and Sunday night.

UNTIL 1145 PM CDT...

At 1121 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 6
miles northwest of Denbigh, or 30 miles west of Rugby, moving east at
10 mph.

Penny size hail will be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Denbigh.

Very heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding in low lying areas.

At 1139 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Foxholm to 9 miles southwest of Des Lacs.
Movement was southeast at 5 mph.

Half inch hail will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Berthold, Des Lacs and Foxholm.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek shelter
inside a building or vehicle.

north of Mcclusky. Movement was east at 30 mph.

Half inch hail, wind gusts to 40 mph, and dangerous lightning will
be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Max, Drake, Butte, Benedict, Douglas, Voltaire, Balfour, Kief,
Bergen, Ruso, Sheyenne Lake, Krueger Lake and Strawberry Lake.

a line extending from 5 miles northwest of Fessenden to 10 miles
south of Martin to 11 miles north of Mcclusky. Movement was east at
15 mph.

Half inch hail and wind gusts to 40 mph will be possible with these
storms.

Locations impacted include...
Harvey, Fessenden, Manfred and Sheyenne Lake.

Very heavy rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to localized flooding in low lying areas.
