...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM AKST MONDAY...

* WIND...West 50 to 65 mph with gusts to 85 mph.

* TIMING...Wind gusts will stay around 75 mph through the 
  evening before intensifying again early Monday morning. 

* IMPACTS...High winds may move loose debris and may damage 
  property. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A high wind warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected
or occurring. People are urged to secure loose objects that could
be blown around or damaged by the wind.

...HIGH WIND WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
TUESDAY MORNING...

The National Weather Service in Anchorage has issued a High Wind
Watch, which is in effect from Monday afternoon through Tuesday
morning. 

* LOCATION...The Central Aleutians.

* WIND...Northwest winds 50 to 65 mph with gusts to 85 mph
  possible. The strongest winds are expected to occur Monday
  evening through early Tuesday morning.

* TIMING...Northwest winds are expected to increase significantly
  late Monday afternoon, possibly to warning level beginning 
  Monday evening and persisting through early Tuesday morning. 
  Winds will then begin to slowly weaken later Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...High winds may move loose debris and may damage
  property.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A high wind watch means there is the potential for a hazardous
high wind event. People are encouraged to closely monitor this
weather situation. Preparation for this potentially dangerous
weather event should begin now.
