SUMMARY...DAMAGING WIND RISK HAS BECOME CONFINED TO THE SOUTHERN
PORTION OF WW 234 ACROSS CENTRAL SD. OTHER STORMS OVER CENTRAL ND
NEAR THE NORTHERN PERIPHERY OF THE WW MAY PRODUCE MARGINALLY SEVERE
HAIL AND LOCALLY STRONG WINDS FOR ANOTHER HOUR OR SO.
WESTERN/CENTRAL/NORTHERN PORTIONS OF THE WATCH MAY BE CANCELED EARLY
IF ONGOING TRENDS PERSIST.
DISCUSSION...CONVECTION INITIALLY OVER NORTHWEST SD/SOUTHWEST ND HAS
EVOLVED INTO TWO DISPARATE CLUSTERS /THE SOUTHERN ONE OVER
WEST-CENTRAL SD AND THE NORTHERN ONE OVER CENTRAL ND/. THE SOUTHERN
AREA WILL PROBABLY HAVE GREATER LONGEVITY AS IT IMPINGES UPON A
PLUME OF MIDDLE TO UPPER 50S SURFACE DEW POINTS OVER PARTS OF
CENTRAL/EAST SD AMID A STRENGTHENING LLJ. GIVEN THE SHORT-LINE MODE
FOR THIS CLUSTER...THE MAIN HAZARD WILL LIKELY BE STRONG TO ISOLATED
SEVERE WIND GUSTS AS IT APPROACHES THE PIERRE AREA IN THE NEXT
COUPLE HOURS. THE REGION IN BETWEEN THE TWO ONGOING CLUSTERS MAY
REMAIN VOID OF STRONG TO SEVERE CONVECTION AS OBJECTIVE ANALYSIS IS
