.SHORT TERM...
The cold front or whats left of the cold front is currently moving
through the forecast area. A few showers have developed this
morning along the front so a few places may see a brief shower
this morning. We will continue to carry a small chance of a shower
through the morning hours before going dry this afternoon and
through the weekend. The weekend looks fairly dry as northwest
flow brings in a much drier airmass. Overall, mostly sunny skies
and warm afternoon highs in the upper 80s are expected on
Saturday. The dry airmass in place will also allow for a larger
than normal diurnal range, and overnight lows should fall into the
upper 50s and lower 60s both tonight and Saturday night. Sunday
looks to still be a fairly dry day. It looks as though Sunday
could be a transition day as flow becomes onshore but guidance
suggests that it could be a delay in that transition until Sunday
night. Looking at the soundings the flow does not really get
turned until early Monday morning. Guidance has come in drier and
with that have took pops down a little bit on Sunday. 13/MH
.LONG TERM...
Not much has changed in the long term from last package. A zonal
flow pattern will be in place most of the week. With that impulsesin
the atmosphere will traverse through the region and that could
bring a chance of showers and storms each day. The primary threat
from the daily storms will be locally heavy rainfall that could
produce localized street flooding issues and the possibility of
some stronger winds developing as storms collapse. Daytime highs
will generally remain near seasonal averages in the middle 80s and
overnight lows will generally range from the middle 60s to the
lower 70s. There are still differences in the GFS and ECMWF but
will continue to go with a blend of guidance and that would put 30
to 50 percent chances of rain through mid week. Although, it looks
like the best chance of rain comes Wednesday and Thursday. 13/MH

Will show these conditions through the 12z taf cycle. No BR or FG
tonight as dp temps will keep things relatively dry. Some TS
activity will transit through a few terminals this morning and will
tempo these through about 16z.

A cold front is on its way this morning from the north. The front is
expected to slow through the day near the coast but the wind shift
line will continue through the coastal waters. The actual cold front
will get another push from sfc to mid level dry air moving quickly
through the southern US over the weekend. This dry subsident air is
indicative of high pressure building over the interior gulf states.
This high pressure area moderates through the weekend while moving
east by Tuesday to bring onshore flow into the coastal waters along
with building seas. Models are also indicating of a period of
storminess for the middle of next week that may impact the coastal
waters from time to time.
