.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

SOME THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON AND
EVENING. THE STORMS WILL BE SCATTERED ACROSS THE MOUNTAINS AND
FOOTHILLS...BUT ISOLATED ACROSS THE PIEDMONT AND UPSTATE. THE MAIN
THREAT WILL BE CLOUD-TO-GROUND LIGHTNING AND BRIEF HEAVY
DOWNPOURS. A FEW OF THE STORMS COULD HAVE STRONG WIND GUSTS
CAPABLE OF KNOCKING DOWN TREE LIMBS. THE STORMS SHOULD DIMINISH BY
LATE EVENING.
