...A FEW STRONG STORMS POSSIBLE LATE TONIGHT ACROSS PARTS OF WEST
CENTRAL GEORGIA...

A STRONG STORM SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE TO STRENGTHEN OVER THE LOWER
MISSISSIPPI VALLEY TONIGHT... THEN MOVE INTO THE TENNESSEE VALLEY ON
FRIDAY. THIS WILL SPREAD RAIN ACROSS THE REGION TONIGHT.

THE RAIN COULD RESULT IN A FEW AREAS OF FREEZING RAIN ACROSS THE
EXTREME NORTHEAST MOUNTAINS WHERE TEMPERATURES COULD FALL TO AROUND
FREEZING LATE TONIGHT.

AS THE STORM SYSTEM MOVES CLOSER TONIGHT... WINDS WILL INCREASE OVER
THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE MOUNTAINS. WIND GUSTS UP TO 35 MPH ARE
POSSIBLE. FOR MORE INFORMATION ON THE WINDS...SEE THE LATEST WIND
ADVISORY STATEMENT.

IN ADDITION...INSTABILITY WILL INCREASE ACROSS THE WESTERN PARTS OF
CENTRAL GEORGIA LATE TONIGHT AHEAD OF THE APPROACHING COLD FRONT.
THIS COULD PRODUCE A FEW THUNDERSTORMS...SOME OF THESE COULD BE
STRONG WITH GUSTY WINDS. THE MAIN THUNDERSTORM THREAT WILL BE
GENERALLY SOUTH OF A LINE FROM LAGRANGE TO BUTLER TO CORDELE...AND
MAINLY AFTER 4 AM TONIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...

AS THE UPPER LOW MOVES ACROSS PORTIONS OF NORTH GEORGIA ON FRIDAY...
ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE AND SOME OF THESE COULD BE
STRONG TO SEVERE WITH GUSTY WINDS. THE MAIN THUNDERSTORM THREAT AREA
WILL BE GENERALLY SOUTH OF A LINE FROM LAGRANGE TO MACON TO
LOUISVILLE FRIDAY MORNING.

THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL ALSO PRODUCE STRONG GRADIENT WINDS OF
25-30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 40 MPH ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA FRIDAY
MORNING.

FREEZING RAIN WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS NORTHEAST GEORGIA FRIDAY
MORNING CHANGING OVER TO SNOW IN THE AFTERNOON. ELSEWHERE... RAIN
WILL CHANGE OVER TO SNOW OR LIGHT FLURRIES FRIDAY AFTERNOON.
FLURRIES WILL BE POSSIBLE AS FAR SOUTH AS A HAMILTON TO ATHENS
LINE... HOWEVER ACCUMULATIONS ARE MAINLY EXPECTED OVER PORTIONS OF
NORTH GEORGIA WITH THE GREATER AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 8 INCHES POSSIBLE
ACROSS NORTHEAST GEORGIA FROM FRIDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SATURDAY
MORNING.

  HAZARD...UP TO 40 MPH WIND...FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING
           AND HEAVY RAIN.

  IMPACT...EXPECT MINOR DAMAGE TO TREE LIMBS AND BLOWING AROUND OF
           LIGHT...UNSECURED OBJECTS. LOCALIZED FLOODING IN
           LOW LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS IS ALSO LIKELY.
           MOTORISTS SHOULD SLOW DOWN AND BE PREPARED FOR POSSIBLE
