.DISCUSSION...
Models in decent agreement through 60 hours. Upper level low just
northwest of Barrow will continue to move northeast to near Banks
Island by Sun morning.

As upper level trough digs east across Northern Alaska...some
snowfall will continue. High pressure builds over northern Alaska
while the low in the Arctic creates a decent pressure gradient
along the portions of the West Coast and and the Arctic Coast
through Saturday morning. This increases the wind over most all of
West Coast zones south of the Bering Strait.

Areas of blowing snow is occurring over the Arctic Coast due to
the cold advection being ushered in behind the upper level
trough. Moderately strong winds will continue today and diminish
by late Sat night.

As the upper level trough rapidly moves the Central Interior this
morning, it will likely produce upwards of an inch or 2 of snow
throughout the Central Interior. Clouds will diminish by late
afternoon or evening and temperatures will drop off significantly
after midnight.

Coastal Hazard Potential Days 3 and 4...None.
