THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST NORTH
CAROLINA...EAST TENNESSEE AND SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...

TEMPERATURES WILL STAY BELOW FREEZING TODAY...MAINTAINING SNOW AND
ICE ACCUMULATIONS ON UNTREATED ROADS AND TREES. HAZARDOUS TRAVEL
CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED IN THESE AREAS WHERE SNOW AND ICE
ACCUMULATIONS REMAIN ON ROADS. WINDS WILL INCREASE THIS AFTERNOON
AND CONTINUE TONIGHT. THIS WILL CAUSE WIND CHILLS TO DROP BELOW
ZERO TONIGHT INTO THURSDAY MORNING. ALSO TREES THAT HAVE ICE
ACCUMULATIONS MAY BE WEAKENED AND FALL CAUSING MORE POWER OUTAGES.

SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE POSSIBLE THIS MORNING THROUGH TONIGHT...MAINLY
HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF EAST TENNESSEE AND IN SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA.
AROUND 2 TO 5 INCHES OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS. UP TO
ABOUT AN INCH OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE IN THE NORTHERN CUMBERLAND
PLATEAU AND NORTHERN AND CENTRAL PORTIONS OF THE TENNESSEE VALLEY.
A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR THE PLATEAU AND VALLEY
FROM 7 AM TO 7 PM EST WEDNESDAY. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS IN
EFFECT FOR THE MOUNTAINS FROM 7 AM WEDNESDAY TO 7 AM EST THURSDAY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...

DANGEROUSLY  COLD TEMPERATURES AND WIND CHILLS VALUES CONTINUE
INTO FRIDAY MORNING. HIGHS IN THE TEENS AND SINGLE DIGITS THURSDAY
AND LOWS IN THE SINGLE DIGITS TO BELOW ZERO IN SOME SPOTS. LOW WIND
CHILL VALUES BETWEEN 25 BELOW ZERO TO 10 BELOW ZERO.

ANOTHER WEATHER SYSTEM DEVELOPS TO THE WEST FRIDAY...SPREADING
CLOUDS AND SNOW INTO THE SOUTHERN APPALACHIANS AND EASTERN
TENNESSEE VALLEY FRIDAY AND EARLY SATURDAY. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 2
TO 4 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE BY SATURDAY MORNING. AMOUNTS MAY BECOME
HIGHER PRIOR TO PRECIPITATION CHANGING TO SLEET AND FREEZING
RAIN...BEFORE WIDESPREAD RAIN WORKS NORTHWARD THROUGH EAST
TENNESSEE ON SATURDAY. SOME AREAS...ESPECIALLY NORTHEAST TENNESSEE
AND SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA VALLEYS...MAY EXPERIENCE A FEW HOURS OF
FREEZING RAIN PRIOR TO THE CHANGE OVER TO ALL RAIN. ABUNDANT
RAINFALL AND WARM TEMPERATURES SHOULD RELIEVE ANY ICING PROBLEMS.
LOCALIZED FLOODING MAY BECOME A PROBLEM DUE TO RAPIDLY MELTING SNOW
