* At 10 AM Saturday the stage was 26.6 feet...and rising.
* Moderate flooding will continue.
* Flood stage is 18 feet.
* The river will continue rising to near 27.9 feet by tomorrow 
  morning. The river will fall below flood stage Thursday morning.
* At 29 feet...Significant flooding expands over the Macon GreenWay
  Ocmulgee Heritage Trail north of the U.S. Highway 80 bridge with 
  some areas under 9 feet of water. The water level will reach the 
  bottom of the bridge. Backyards of a few homes on the left bank 
  near Glenridge Drive will be completely flooded. Large portions of 
  the Southern Railroad tracks around Mead Road will be a few feet 
  under water. Agricultural lands just east and south of Macon will 
  be under 1 to 10 feet of water.

* Forecast to rise above flood stage by late this afternoon and 
  continue to rise to near 17.2 feet by Thursday morning. additional 
  rises are possible thereafter.
* At 18 feet...Major flooding begins. Homes begin to flood on the 
  west side of the river in Abbeville just downstream from the boat 
  ramp and park. Residents will need to be evacuated by boat if not 
  already out.

  along the river upstream and downstream from the gage on Rome 
  Boulevard. In Trion...portions of the parking lot at Mount Vernon 
  Mills including the personnel office...yards and homes on First and
  Second Streets near the levee...and athletic fields and other 
  structures off Dalton and Cooper Streets are flooded with up to 3 
  feet of water. Also near Lyerly...large portions of Lyerly Dam Road
  near the river are flooded with up to 3 feet of water.

  the gage behind the water treatment plant off Mauldin Road. A boat 
  ramp and small parking lot on the upstream and right bank side of 
  the Georgia Highway 136 Connector will be under at least 8 feet of 
  water. Flood water will begin to fill in low areas near athletic 
  fields at the Harris River Park on Mauldin Road.

* The river appears to be cresting. The river will fall below flood
  stage next by next Thursday.
* At 27 feet...Major flooding continues. Most of Old Balls Ferry 
  Road north of Georgia Highway 57 will be under 3 to 5 feet of 
  water. The water level will be around two feet deep in the USGS 
  gage house near the boat ramp. This may affect data transmission. 
  Widespread flooding up to several feet deep of the woodlands near 
  the river occurs.

* Flood stage is 21 feet.
* The river will continue rising to near 29.9 feet by early Monday 
  morning then begin falling.
* At 30 feet...Major flooding begins with widespread inundation of 
  the woodlands and agricutural areas upstream and downstream from 
  the gage on U.S. Highway 80. The flood waters will be around 7 feet
  deep on Rex Miller Road and Old River Lane. Several homes on these 
  roads and on River Ridge Road will be under 5 feet of water. 
  Additional roads such as Hudson Street...South Decatur Street and 
  Robert Plummer Road will begin to flood. Large portions of the 
  Riverview Park Golf Course will be flooded.

* The river will rise above flood stage Sunday evening. The river
  will continue rising to near 22.5 feet by Wednesday morning.
  The river will fall thereafter.
* At 23 feet...Major flooding begins with widespread inundation of 
  the woodlands and pastures upstream and downstream from the gage on
  U.S. Highway 280. Most of the access road to the boat ramp on the 
  Wheeler County side of the river is flooded. Around a dozen homes 
  on Dead River Road in the south end of Montgomery County are 
  flooded with up to 3 feet of water. Dead River Road will be flooded
  up to 5 feet deep.

.SHORT TERM /TODAY THROUGH SUNDAY/...
LATEST GUIDANCE INDICATES A LULL IN THE RAIN FOR THE SHORT TERM.
ALTHOUGH THE MAIN LIFTING MECHANISM HAS SHIFTED NORTH AND WEST OF
THE CWA...WILL MAINTAIN POPS THROUGHOUT THE SHORT TERM WITH THE
HIGHEST POPS ACROSS NORTH GA AS ABUNDANT LOW LEVEL MOISTURE WILL
REMAIN OVER THE CWA AND SURFACE HEATING MAY BE ENOUGH TO INITIATE
CONVECTION. THE THREAT OF HEAVY RAIN APPEARS TO BE SUBSIDING FOR
THE WATCH AREA. THE EXCEPTION FOR EARLY THIS MORNING WILL BE
EXTREME NORTHWEST GA AS TSTORMS OVER NORTH AL WILL MOVE ACROSS THE
EXTREME NORTHWEST GA COUNTIES. HOWEVER THESE SHOULD BE OUT OF THE
AREA BY 12Z WHICH IS WHEN THE FLOOD WATCH EXPIRES. WILL THEREFORE
ALLOW THE FLOOD WATCH TO EXPIRE.

A LITTLE MORE SUNSHINE ON SUNDAY COULD ALLOW FOR A LITTLE MORE
CONVECTION AND HAVE GONE SLIGHTLY HIGHER POPS ON SUNDAY THAN
TODAY.

TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN WELL ABOVE NORMAL THROUGH SUNDAY AND
GUIDANCE LOOKS LIKE IT MAY HAVE A HANDLE ON THIS.

THE NEXT SYSTEM STILL AIMING AT THE BEGINNING OF THE
WEEK...ALTHOUGH THERE ARE TIMING DIFFERENCES IN THE MODELS WITH
THE GFS BEING THE FASTEST. HAVE MAINTAINED LIKELY/CATEGORICAL POPS
ACROSS MAINLY NORTH GA MONDAY/MONDAY NIGHT. THERE SHOULD BE A
BRIEF BREAK IN THE RAIN...THEN THE NEXT KICKER WAVE WILL BRING
ANOTHER ROUND OF RAIN BY MID WEEK. THIS IS SHAPING UP TO BE THE
WAVE THAT WILL BRING MORE SEASONABLE TEMPS BACK TO THE CWA BY THE
END OF THE LONG TERM.

CENTRAL AND NORTHWEST GEORGIA THROUGH THE NIGHT. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL
OF 1/2 TO 1 INCH CAN BE EXPECTED...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS
POSSIBLE...GENERALLY ALONG AND WEST OF I-85. ONGOING FLOODING OF
RIVERS...STREAMS AND CREEKS WILL CONTINUE FROM EXCESSIVE RUNOFF AND
PREVIOUSLY SATURATED SOILS ACROSS MUCH OF NORTH AND CENTRAL GEORGIA.

IN ADDITION...DENSE FOG WILL OVERSPREAD PORTIONS OF CENTRAL
GEORGIA...GENERALLY SOUTH OF A HAMILTON TO FORSYTH TO WASHINGTON
LINE. EXPECT VISIBILITIES TO BE REDUCED TO LESS THAN 1/4 MILE AT

THE HEAVIEST RAIN WILL GRADUALLY PUSH NORTH OF THE AREA BY SATURDAY

INTO THE FIRST OF THE WEEK. SEVERAL RIVERS AND STREAMS COULD REMAIN
