LIGHT RAIN...FREEZING RAIN...AND SNOW. AMOUNTS APPEAR TO GENERALLY
BE LIGHT BUT ROADS ARE BECOMING SNOW AND ICE COVERED IN OUR WESTERN
COUNTIES. MEANWHILE THE BACK EDGE OF THE PRECIPITATION IS JUST
ENTERING OUR FORECAST AREA...WHILE FURTHER UPSTREAM ACROSS NEBRASKA

THIS LINGERING DAYTIME PRECIPITATION WILL MAINLY BE IN THE FORM OF

A SIGNIFICANT WINTER STORM THAT HAS BEEN MONITORED FOR THE PAST
7-10 DAYS IS COMING INTO BETTER FOCUS AS IT APPROACHES THE AREA
FOR MONDAY INTO MONDAY NIGHT. AN INTENSE UPPER LOW THAT IS
DIGGING SOUTH THROUGH ARIZONA TODAY...WILL DROP WELL SOUTH INTO
NORTHERN MEXICO TONIGHT BEFORE EJECTING NORTHEAST THROUGH TEXAS
ON SUNDAY. ANOTHER LARGE TROUGH BUILDING INTO THE WESTERN CONUS
WILL HELP FORCE AN UNUSUAL FAR NORTHERN TRACK OF THIS SYSTEM. OVERALL
GOOD CONSENSUS AGREEMENT ON TIMING OF THIS SYSTEM ARRIVING INTO
THE REGION ON MONDAY. THE BIG DIFFERENCE ARE THE ATTENDANT THERMAL
PROFILES WITH THE NAM ON THE EXTREME END OF BEING WARM ALOFT WHILE
THE GFS IS MUCH COOLER. PREFER A ECMWF/SREF THERMAL BLEND. SFC
TEMPERATURES SHOULD REMAIN RELATIVELY COOL WITH A LARGE CANADIAN
HIGH PRESSURE TO THE NORTH FEEDING COOLER AND DRIER LOW LEVEL AIR INTO
