* At 17.5 feet...Some low agricultural fields flood. Backyard flood
of cottages a short distance north of US Highway 136. High water
blocks land access to at least one residence. From April 21 to May
5, 2011 at least one South River Road resident boated to his house
because of prolonged high water when the river was above 17.5 feet.

Wabash River...
.Lowland flooding continued along portions of the Wabash River from
Montezuma to Hutsonville. The latest crest was in the Terre Haute
area. Rises around one foot may occur downstream in the Hutsonville
area by Saturday. Flooding was similar to nearly one foot higher
than levels in May. Rainfall next week may keep the river at
elevated levels through June 21.
Lowland flooding affected agricultural fields...river parks and a few
local roads.
Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...
Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river
conditions.

slough. High water affects campground at Leaverton Park in
Palestine. A few private roads near the Gill Township levee in
