THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR THE EXTREME SOUTHERN TEXAS
PANHANDLE...SOUTH PLAINS AND ROLLING PLAINS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

SCATTERED STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP
ALONG AND EAST OF THE I-27 CORRIDOR THIS AFTERNOON... INCLUDING
MOST OF THE ROLLING PLAINS AND EASTERN PORTIONS OF THE SOUTH
PLAINS. SUPERCELL THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO INITIATE SOMETIME
IN THE MID AFTERNOON... NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF A SHARPENING
DRYLINE AND SOUTHWARD ADVANCING COLD FRONT... AND CONTINUE THROUGH
THE EVENING AND OVERNIGHT HOURS. THUNDERSTORMS WILL LIKELY BE
ISOLATED AT FIRST...BUT WILL INCREASE IN COVERAGE AS THE EVENING
WEARS ON. THE PRIMARY THREAT WITH THESE STORMS WILL BE LARGE HAIL
TO THE SIZE OF GOLF BALLS AND DAMAGING WIND GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 60
MPH. IN ADDITION... A BRIEF... ISOLATED TORNADO IS NOT OUT OF THE
QUESTION IN THE LATE AFTERNOON TO EARLY EVENING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL LIKELY BE ONGOING EARLY TUESDAY
MORNING... AND WHILE THE THREAT FOR SEVERE WEATHER WILL BE LOWER
THAN MONDAY A FEW STRONG STORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE EARLY IN THE DAY. BY
EARLY TUESDAY AFTERNOON THE THREAT FOR SEVERE WEATHER WILL WANE AS
A STRONG COLD FRONT SURGES WELL TO THE SOUTH OF THE AREA. RAIN
SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE...HOWEVER...AND WILL LIKELY PERSIST THROUGH
THE DAYTIME AND OVERNIGHT HOURS... PARTICULARLY IN THE ROLLING PLAINS.

ON WEDNESDAY... RAIN SHOWERS WILL ONCE AGAIN BE ONGOING IN THE
MORNING... BUT WILL GRADUALLY DIMINISH FROM WEST TO EAST THROUGH
THE AFTERNOON.

BEYOND WEDNESDAY... THE THREAT FOR HAZARDOUS WEATHER WILL BE VERY
LOW.
