THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR WEST CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST
FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

A TROPICAL DISTURBANCE IN THE SOUTHERN GULF OF MEXICO IS EXPECTED
TO MOVE SLOWLY TOWARD THE NORTH TODAY. THIS SYSTEM HAS THE
POTENTIAL TO BECOME A TROPICAL DEPRESSION TODAY OR SUNDAY. DEEP
TROPICAL MOISTURE STREAMING NORTHWARD ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE
DISTURBANCE WILL RESULT IN NUMEROUS TO WIDESPREAD SHOWERS WITH A
FEW EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS TODAY.

...THUNDERSTORM IMPACT...
THE MAIN HAZARD ASSOCIATED WITH THE ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS TODAY
WILL BE DEADLY CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING. HAIL AND STRONG WINDS
ARE NOT EXPECTED TODAY.

...FLOOD IMPACT...
RAINS COULD BE LOCALLY HEAVY TODAY RESULTING IN MINOR URBAN AND
SMALL STREAM FLOODING.

...RIP CURRENT IMPACT...
THERE IS A MODERATE RISK OF RIP CURRENTS ALONG THE BEACHES FROM
PINELLAS COUNTY SOUTHWARD TO LEE COUNTY.

...WIND AND SEA IMPACT...
A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR TODAY AND WILL CONTINUE
THROUGH AT LEAST MONDAY. SOUTHEAST WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 20 TO 25
KNOTS WITH SEAS BUILDING TO 6 TO 10 FEET...MAINLY WELL OFFSHORE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.

HAZARDS ASSOCIATED WITH THE TROPICAL DISTURBANCE WILL CONTINUE
THROUGH TUESDAY. THESE INCLUDE THE POSSIBILITY OF STRONG RIP
CURRENTS...MINOR COASTAL FLOODING DURING HIGH TIDES...LOCALLY
HEAVY RAINS WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR MINOR FLOODING...AND A FEW
THUNDERSTORMS WITH DEADLY CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING. MARINERS MAY
EXPERIENCE WINDS NEAR 20 KNOTS WITH SEAS REMAINING AT OR ABOVE 7
FEET THROUGH MID-WEEK.

VISITORS AND RESIDENTS ARE URGED TO MONITOR THE LATEST INFORMATION
ON THE TROPICAL DISTURBANCE IN THE GULF OF MEXICO.

LOVERS KEY STATE PARK...BONITA SPRINGS...ESTERO AND SOUTHWEST FLORIDA
AIRPORT...UNTIL 500 PM EDT.

GUSTY WINDS 35 TO 45 MPH WILL OCCUR. TORRENTIAL RAINS WILL REDUCE
VISIBILITY TO NEAR ZERO AND WILL CAUSE PONDING OF WATER ON ROADWAYS.
THERE WILL BE THE POSSIBILITY OF FUNNEL CLOUDS.
