THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 672
CONTINUES.

SUMMARY...THE SEVERE THREAT HAS BECOME CONDITIONAL UPON
RE-INTENSIFICATION OF STORMS. HOWEVER...STORMS CURRENTLY DEVELOPING
OVER NCTRL WI MAY MOVE INTO THE SWRN PART OF WW 672 AFTER 1730Z AND
POSE A THREAT FOR ISOLATED DAMAGING WIND.

DISCUSSION...INITIAL ROUND OF SEVERE STORMS HAS WEAKENED AS THEY
CONTINUE NEWD THROUGH LAKE SUPERIOR. OTHER STORMS APPEAR TO BE
STRENGTHENING FARTHER S ACROSS NCNTRL WI WITHIN ZONE OF INCREASING
FRONTOGENETIC FORCING. ACTIVITY IS SLIGHTLY ELEVATED...MOVING NEWD
AT 70 KT...AND WILL AFFECT CNTRL LOWER MI AFTER 1730Z. PRE-FRONTAL
STRATUS CLOUDS WILL CONTINUE TO LIMIT INSTABILITY. HOWEVER...7 C/KM
MID LEVEL LAPSE RATES EXIST ABOVE THE STABLE SFC LAYER WHICH IN
CONJUNCTION WITH STRONG DEEP LAYER WINDS MAY PROMOTE A THREAT OF
ISOLATED DAMAGING WIND SHOULD STORMS UNDERGO FURTHER
INTENSIFICATION.
