THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHWEST...NORTH CENTRAL AND
WEST CENTRAL MISSOURI...AS WELL AS EXTREME EASTERN KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

THERE REMAINS A SLIGHT RISK FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON
EAST OF A CLINTON TO BETHANY LINE. REDEVELOPMENT OF THUNDERSTORMS IS
EXPECTED ACROSS PARTS OF CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST MISSOURI THIS
AFTERNOON. ALTHOUGH INSTABILITY VALUES ARE ON THE LOW SIDE THERE IS
SUFFICIENT SHEAR AND VERY STRONG STEERING WINDS WHICH WOULD ALLOW FOR
EXCESSIVELY FAST STORM TRACKS OF 70 MPH OR MORE. EVEN A MODERATE
WIND GUST FROM A STORM WITH SUCH A FAST STORM MOVEMENT COULD TRANSLATE
INTO DAMAGING WINDS AT THE SURFACE. THE RISK OF SEVERE WEATHER OVER
THE REGION SHOULD END BY SUNSET.

ADDITIONALLY...VERY STRONG AND GUSTY SOUTHERLY WINDS WILL WILL
CONTINUE THIS AFTERNOON WITH SUSTAINED WIND SPEEDS OF 25 TO 30 MPH
AND ISOLATED GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH.
