THIS OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHWEST AND WEST CENTRAL ARKANSAS AS WELL AS
MUCH OF EASTERN OKLAHOMA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM.
	RISK...LIMITED.
AREA...MAINLY NORTHWEST ARKANSAS AND FAR NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA.
	ONSET...3 PM.

	ONSET...ONGOING.

DISCUSSION...
TEMPERATURES WILL AGAIN REACH 100 TO 104 DEGREES ACROSS MUCH OF
EASTERN OKLAHOMA AND WEST CENTRAL ARKANSAS THIS AFTERNOON. HEAT
INDEX VALUES WILL CLOSELY MIRROR TEMPERATURES DUE TO LOW HUMIDITY
LEVELS AND REMAIN SHORT OF 105.

ISOLATED TO WIDELY SCATTERED LATE AFTERNOON THUNDERSTORMS ARE
POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON MOST ANYWHERE...THOUGH THE HIGHER TERRAIN
AREAS OF NORTHWEST ARKANSAS WILL BE THE MOST FAVORED AREA FOR
DEVELOPMENT. WHILE THEY WILL BE SHORT LIVED...ANY THUNDERSTORM
THAT CAN DEVELOP WOULD HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE DAMAGING
DOWNBURST WINDS.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
SPOTTER ACTIVATION NOT ANTICIPATED DUE TO THE ISOLATED NATURE OF
THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.
MONDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL...DANGEROUS HEAT
POTENTIAL.
WEDNESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL.
SATURDAY...NO HAZARDS.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
THE MASSIVE UPPER RIDGE OVER THE SOUTHERN STATES MAY BUCKLE
JUST ENOUGH TO ALLOW A WEAK FRONTAL BOUNDARY TO REACH NORTHEAST
OKLAHOMA AND NORTHWEST ARKANSAS MONDAY. OTHERWISE...SMALL CHANCES
OF THUNDERSTORMS THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS WILL DEPEND ON OUTFLOW
BOUNDARIES FROM CONVECTIVE ACTIVITY IN KANSAS OR MISSOURI OR
ISOLATED...PRIMARILY TERRAIN INDUCED STORMS. TEMPERATURES WILL
REMAIN HOT THROUGH AT LEAST EARLY NEXT WEEK.
