AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE AND ITS ASSOCIATED COLD FRONT WILL BRING
WIDESPREAD SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS TO CENTRAL NORTH
CAROLINA TODAY. DUE TO STRONG WINDS JUST ABOVE THE
SURFACE...THE HEAVIER SHOWERS AND STORMS MAY PRODUCE WIND GUSTS
AROUND 40 MPH. AN ISOLATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IS ALSO POSSIBLE
WITH DAMAGING WIND GUSTS NEAR 60 MPH THE PRIMARY SEVERE WEATHER
THREAT. THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT WILL END BY 3 PM IN THE
WEST...AND 7 PM IN THE EAST.
