AREA AT GREATEST RISK...EASTERN OKLAHOMA AND NORTHWEST ARKANSAS.

DISCUSSION...
A STUBBORN UPPER LEVEL LOW OVER SOUTHWESTERN OKLAHOMA WILL
CONTINUE TO PRODUCE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS
EASTERN OKLAHOMA AND NORTHWEST ARKANSAS THROUGH TONIGHT. THE SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE EFFICIENT RAIN MAKERS AS A TROPICAL
AIRMASS REMAINS ENTRENCHED ACROSS THE REGION. ADDITIONAL
RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES WITH LOCALLY HIGHER
AMOUNTS WILL BE POSSIBLE THROUGH TONIGHT. WITH THE GROUND
SATURATED FROM PREVIOUS RAINS...THESE RAIN AMOUNTS WILL LIKELY
CAUSE FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS. THEREFORE...A FLASH
FLOOD WATCH HAS BEEN POSTED UNTIL FRIDAY MORNING FOR EASTERN OKLAHOMA
AND EXTREME NORTHWEST ARKANSAS.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
SPOTTER ACTIVATION NOT EXPECTED.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.
THURSDAY...THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL...HEAVY RAIN POTENTIAL.
FRIDAY...THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL.
SATURDAY...THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL.
SUNDAY...THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL.
MONDAY...THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL.
TUESDAY...THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
THE UPPER LOW WILL MOVE LITTLE DURING THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS AND
A COLD FRONT WILL SLOWLY MOVE INTO PARTS OF EASTERN OKLAHOMA
AND THE NORTHWEST ARKANSAS THURSDAY AND THURSDAY NIGHT. CONDITIONS
WILL REMAIN FAVORABLE FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORM WITH HEAVY
RAINFALL AT LEAST THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT. AS THE WEEKEND
APPROACHES THE UPPER LEVEL FEATURE WILL BECOME WEAKER AND EVENTUALLY
BECOME NON-EXISTENT. THE FRONT WILL ALSO WASH AWAY. DUE TO
AMPLE MOISTURE...SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL REMAIN IN THE
FORECAST INTO NEXT WEEK.

EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PLANNING STATEMENT...
EMERGENCY MANAGERS SHOULD MONITOR THE LATEST FORECASTS FOR
THE POTENTIAL OF FLASH FLOODING IN THEIR COUNTIES AND CITIES.
