VALID 052238Z - 052315Z THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 347 CONTINUES. A COUPLE OF SEVERE STORMS WERE OCCURRING ALONG WIND SHIFT BOUNDARY CROSSING PARTS OF SERN NH AND WRN ME THIS EVENING. ANOTHER PRONOUNCED WIND SHIFT WAS DEVELOPING EAST ACROSS ERN NY/WRN VT ATTM WITH A GRADUAL INCREASE TO CONVECTIVE INTENSITY NOTED ON THIS WIND SHIFT...OVER RENSSELAER COUNTY NY AND BENNINGTON COUNTY VT. OBJECTIVE DATA SUGGESTS THAT..DESPITE RELATIVELY WIDESPREAD CONVECTION TODAY...A POCKET OF STRONGER SURFACE-BASED INSTABILITY MAY REMAIN ACROSS FROM THE CT RIVER VALLEY EWD ACROSS MAINE THIS EVENING. GIVEN STRONG ASCENT ASSOCIATED WITH THE MID/UPPER LEVEL IMPULSE ROTATING ACROSS THE NORTHEAST...A FEW STRONG TO ISOLATED SEVERE STORMS MAY PERSIST BEYOND WATCH EXPIRATION.
