THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
  LEE
  FAYETTE
  LAVACA
  DEWITT

* UNTIL 1115 PM CDT

* AT 515 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED 
  VERY HEAVY RAINS AND FLASH FLOODING FROM A COMPLEX OF THUNDERSTORMS
  WITH HEAVY RAIN MOVING INTO THE AREA FROM SOUTH AND WEST OVER THE
  NEXT FEW HOURS.

RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES WITH ISOLATED AMOUNTS OF 3 TO 5 
INCHES POSSIBLE THIS EVENING. SATURATED SOILS WILL CAUSE RAPID RISES 
IN CREEKS AND STREAMS AND FLASH FLOODING.  TRAVEL IS DISCOURAGED DUE 
TO FLOODED ROADS.    

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT
QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY
IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.

HEAVY RAINS HAVE MOVED EAST OF THE AREA...HOWEVER RESIDENTS ARE
URGED TO BE CAUTIOUS WHEN VENTURING OUT OVERNIGHT. A FEW AREAS MAY
STILL BE EXPERIENCING FLOOD PROBLEMS.  DO NOT DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE
WATER COVERS THE ROADS.
