THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BROWNSVILLE HAS ISSUED A

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...
  STARR COUNTY IN DEEP SOUTH TEXAS
  SOUTHEASTERN ZAPATA COUNTY IN DEEP SOUTH TEXAS
  SOUTHEASTERN JIM HOGG COUNTY IN DEEP SOUTH TEXAS

* UNTIL 1000 PM CDT

* AT 918 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS  THESE STORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE
  EXTENDING FROM 11 MILES EAST OF RANDADO TO 8 MILES NORTHEAST OF
  FALCON DAM...AND MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 35 MPH. THE STRONGEST
  THUNDERSTORM WAS IN ZAPATA COUNTY ABOUT 20 MILES EAST OF ZAPATA
  AND WAS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING HAIL TO THE SIZE OF NICKELS ALONG
  WITH WIND GUSTS TO 60 MPH

* THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE NEAR...
   EL SAUZ BY 940 PM CDT.
   LA GLORIA BY 1000 PM CDT.

IN ADDITION TO LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS...CONTINUOUS CLOUD TO
GROUND LIGHTNING IS OCCURRING WITH THIS STORM. MOVE INDOORS
IMMEDIATELY LIGHTNING IS ONE OF NATURES NUMBER ONE KILLERS.
