AREAS AFFECTED...SRN MO/SRN IL/WRN KY/WRN TN/NE AR

CONCERNING...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 375...

VALID 150310Z - 150515Z

BROKEN LINE OF SEVERE STORMS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE SEWD WITH THE
POTENTIAL FOR VERY LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS.

CONVECTION IS ORIENTED ALONG AND TO THE SE OF THE INSTABILITY AXIS
FROM SPRINGFIELD MO NE TO VERNON IL. MLCAPE ALONG THE AXIS IS AROUND
1500 J/KG AND THE CONVECTION WAS MOVING SEWD INTO WEAKER
INSTABILITY. HOWEVER...THE CONVECTION SHOULD REMAIN INTENSE AS
STRONG LARGE-SCALE FORCING CONTINUES TO INCREASE AHEAD OF A
VORTICITY MAX EVIDENT IN WATER VAPOR IMAGERY ACROSS SRN IL-ECNTRL
IL. DEEP LAYER SHEAR WAS AROUND 40 KT WHICH COMBINED WITH THE
MODERATE INSTABILITY WILL PRODUCE A LARGE HAIL/WIND DAMAGE THREAT.
STRONG LARGE-SCALE ASCENT AND COOL AIR ALOFT WITH 500 MB TEMPS OF
-16 C...WILL MAKE VERY LARGE HAIL A POSSIBILITY.
