LATEST IR/WV SAT IMAGERY SHOWS UPPER LOW CENTERED NEAR ABY. EMBEDDED MID LEVEL VORTICITY CENTER JUST OFF CAPE COD HAS RECENTLY AIDED IN STRENGTHENING CONVECTION OFFSHORE. STRONG WAA NOTED ON REGIONAL VWP/S AS WELL AS 2-3 MB/HR PRESSURE FALLS OVER THE GULF OF ME WILL CONTINUE TO AID IN ADDITIONAL PRECIPITATION DEVELOPMENT OFFSHORE OVER THE GULF OF MAINE AND INTO SRN ME. AS THIS PRECIPITATION MOVES NWD INTO SRN ME...IT WILL CONTINUE TO ENHANCE MID LEVEL BAROCLINIC/DEFORMATION ZONE CURRENTLY EXTENDING FROM NRN NH INTO ECENTRAL ME. WITH TRACK OF MID/UPPER LOW FCST ALONG COASTAL ME...EXPECT THE MID LEVEL DEFORMATION BAND TO REMAIN NEARLY STATIONARY IN ITS PRESENT LOCATION.../30 N OF IZG ENEWD TO 30 S OF MLT. THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL RATES WILL BE PRESENT WITHIN THE STRONGEST MESOSCALE MID LEVEL FRONTOGENETIC FORCING IN THE MAIN DEFORMATION SNOWBAND...WHERE HOURLY ACCUMULATION RATES AT TIMES ABOVE 3 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE DUE TO HIGH SNOW/WATER RATIOS. ENE MEAN SYSTEM MOTION WILL SUPPORT LITTLE NORTH-SOUTH MOVEMENT OF THE BAND AND A PROLONGED PERIOD OF HIGH SNOWFALL RATES OVER ANY ONE LOCATION.
