WESTERN KANE COUNTY IN UTAH THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF KANAB * UNTIL 930 PM MDT * AT 624 PM MDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY RAIN 31 MILES NORTHEAST OF KANAB...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 15 MPH. EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF CREEKS AND STREAMS...ROADS AND ROADSIDE CULVERTS. RADAR ESTIMATES OF 1 TO 2 INCHES WITH PRECIPITATION RATES OF NEARLY 4 INCHES PER HOUR HAVE BEEN OBSERVED OVER THE JOHNSON CREEK AND KANAB CREEK DRAINAGES. THE HEAVY RAINS COULD ALSO TRIGGER ROCK AND MUDSLIDES IN STEEP TERRAIN. A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING.
