SOUTH CENTRAL WASHINGTON COUNTY IN UTAH THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF ST GEORGE * UNTIL 815 PM MDT HEAVY RAIN EARLY THIS AFTERNOON IS PRODUCING HEAVY RUNOFF ON THE FORT PIERCE WASH. A GAUGE ON THE WASH NEAR THE ARIZONA BORDER SHOWED A 4 AND ONE HALF FOOT RISE JUST AFTER 6 PM. THIS SURGE SHOULD REACH THE ST. GEORGE AREA BY 8 PM. THIS GAUGE READING IS NEARLY IDENTICAL TO THE EVENT ABOUT A WEEK AGO. A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING. IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNING AREA MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY. RESIDENTS LIVING ALONG STREAMS AND CREEKS SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY.
